As of September 5, the final version of the 2012 SWTIRS data has been added to TIMS. The SWITRS GIS Map, SWITRS Query & Map and the complete data download from the SWITRS resource page have been updated.

TIMS (the Transportation Injury Mapping System) and CATSIP (California Active Transportation Information Safety Pages) are two websites developed by the Safe Transportation Research and Education Center to provide web-based, interactive resources for traffic safety workers, advocates, policymakers, agency staff and others operating in California. This webinar will provide an overview of both sites with illustrations of their various tools and capabilities.

SafeTREC graduate student researcher Frank Proulx (at far left in photo) is among three students from the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Berkeley to win prestigious 2014 Dwight David Eisenhower Graduate Fellowships for their research in transportation planning.

Preliminary findings from NCHRP 07-19: review of count methods and technologies, notably advantages and disadvantages of manual vs. automated; tips on improving data quality, and methods to adjust counts without sacrificing accuracy.
