The Transportation Research Board's National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 797: Guidebook on Pedestrian and Bicycle Volume Data Collection has just been published. The book describes methods and technologies for counting pedestrians and bicyclists, offers guidance on developing a non-motorized count program, gives suggestions on selecting appropriate counting methods and technologies, and provides examples of how organizations have used non-motorized count data to better fulfill their missions.

As of September 5, the final version of the 2012 SWTIRS data has been added to TIMS. The SWITRS GIS Map, SWITRS Query & Map and the complete data download from the SWITRS resource page have been updated.

TIMS (the Transportation Injury Mapping System) and CATSIP (California Active Transportation Information Safety Pages) are two websites developed by the Safe Transportation Research and Education Center to provide web-based, interactive resources for traffic safety workers, advocates, policymakers, agency staff and others operating in California. This webinar will provide an overview of both sites with illustrations of their various tools and capabilities.
