New Tribal Crash Reporting Toolkit

In October 2020, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) published a new Tribal Crash Reporting Toolkit that has been designed to help Tribal governments collect, manage, and analyze crash data in their jurisdictions. SafeTREC postdoctoral researcher Praveen Vayalamkuzhi has co-authored a newly published paper, "Process Mapping of Stakeholders in Transportation Safety Management," with researchers Camille Salem, Offer Grembek, Aditya Medury, and John L. Ensch in the Journal of Management in Engineering.

September is Pedestrian Safety Month!

This year's Pedestrian Safety month looks very different during COVID-19, with communities practicing social distancing, essential workers traveling to their work while others work from home, students are returning to school virtually, and in some cases activities are resuming and businesses are reopening as it is safe to do so. In the midst of this, the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) is encouraging all of us to look out for one another.

UC Berkeley SafeTREC is excited to release the California Traffic Safety Survey 2020 led by Ewald & Wasserman Research Consultants (E&W). This study was conducted on behalf of the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and the Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) at the University of California, Berkeley.
