Karen Nguyen Vo is the communications coordinator for the UC Berkeley Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) and supports communications efforts for SafeTREC's research, tools, programs, and education. Prior to joining SafeTREC, Karen produced various communications, including news, research, and feature stories for the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute (CITRIS), The Daily Californian, and the Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program. Karen holds a B.A. in Sociology from UC Berkeley.

Afsaneh Yavari serves as a research and development engineer at the Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS).
