Bio/CV:
Karen Nguyen Vo (they and she) is the communications coordinator for the UC Berkeley Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) and supports communications efforts for SafeTREC's research, data tools, programming, and education. Prior to joining SafeTREC, Karen produced various communications — including news, research, and feature stories — for the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute (CITRIS), UC Berkeley student newspaper The Daily Californian, and the Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from UC Berkeley. In their free time, Karen is an arts and community reporter for the online news platform Berkeleyside, and she moves around town by bike, bus, and Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART).
