Reetu Pethani is a student assistant at UC Berkeley SafeTREC and a master’s student in City and Regional Planning at UC Berkeley, specializing in Transportation and Environmental Planning. With a background in architecture and urban design, Reetu brings an interdisciplinary lens to her work in transportation safety, equity, and systems planning. At SafeTREC, she supports the development of a California Safe System Leadership Institute by supporting key informant interviews, synthesizing peer learning strategies, and helping shape a proactive, equity-centered approach to roadway safety in local communities.
