Tesla Cybertruck's stiff structure, sharp design raise safety concerns - experts

The angular design of the Tesla Cybertruck "has safety experts concerned the electric pickup truck's stiff stainless-steel exoskeleton could hurt pedestrians and cyclists and damage other vehicles on roads," noted Sriram and Jin.

The authors spoke with six safety experts after they have watched videos of crash tests that had been conducted by Tesla. SafeTREC's Griswold "said she was 'alarmed' by the crash test videos Tesla posted. She said the heavy weight of the trucks and their high acceleration 'raise red flags for non-occupants.'"
