Krista Nordback is a senior research associate at the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center with an additional appointment as a research data analyst at UC Berkeley SafeTREC. Her work focuses on bicycle and pedestrian traffic and safety. Lucia Ornelas is a policy and program analyst at UC Berkeley SafeTREC where she supports the Community Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program and Street Story. Prior to joining SafeTREC, she worked with government and non-profit agencies to provide community outreach and education in infectious disease prevention and harm reduction programs. Through her public health work, she is committed to advancing social justice and racial and health equity.

Lisa is the communications and outreach lead for UC Berkeley SafeTREC and manages center communications for outreach, social media, and two traffic safety related websites. Prior to SafeTREC, Lisa worked at the Center for Public Health Practice and Leadership at Berkeley Public Health, where she lead center communications, was co- instructor for courses on health communications and professional development, and coordinated a new media training series.
