Question:How did you find out about SafeTREC’s Visiting Scholars program? How long will you be here?
Ugo: I heard about the Visiting Scholar program last year when I was doing a Berkeley internship by speaking with other UCB students. My appointment ends at the end of February. I will go back to France to finish my master’s degree.
Question: Which SafeTREC projects will you be working on? Are there any goals you wish to accomplish while visiting SafeTREC?
U: I am working on a co-project between SafeTREC and Vehicle Data Science Corporation (VDS). The goal of the study is to try to find correlations between crash data collected by SafeTREC and driver behavior patterns from VDS’ data. My goal visiting SafeTREC is to develop my analytical skills by doing research on a topic I am really interested and familiar with!
