Join us in welcoming new staff members to the UC Berkeley Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) team, Sujin Lee and Fiona Norton!

Sujin Lee

Postdoctoral Scholar

Sujin Lee smiles towards the camera on a city street with a bridge in the backgroundSujin Lee is a postdoctoral scholar at SafeTREC. Her current research focuses on examining how regional characteristics and safety measures contribute to reducing traffic crashes and creating safer transportation environments. She is also interested in the intersection of travel demand and urban attributes, using insights from multifaceted datasets to promote sustainable urban development and enhance travel demand management.

She earned her Ph.D. and M.S. from the Graduate School of Mobility at Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) and a bachelor’s degree in urban planning and design from Hongik University in South Korea.


Fiona Norton

Research Data Analyst

Fiona Norton smiles, wearing a graduation sash in green and goldFiona Norton is a research data analyst at SafeTREC, where she supports multiple ongoing research projects. She holds a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in quantitative analysis and an M.S. in quantitative economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
