Technical Assistance Available Through the Tribal Road Safety Program

The SafeTREC Tribal Road Safety Program announces availability of one to two hour technical assistance webinars for either or both of two online tools relevant for tribal road safety: 

Tribal Crash Data Tool (Tribal TIMS)

California Tribal Data Viewer for Crash Data Tool

The Transportation Injury Mapping System (TIMS) is a free resource for accessing geocoded collision data in California. TIMS offers maps, summary analysis, graphics, and raw collision data to view/download. Tribal TIMS provides tribes with an interactive collision analysis and mapping tool for tribal areas. Learn more.

Tribal Street Story Tool

Tribal Street Story survey for Blue Lake, CA

The Tribal Street Story is a free and publicly accessible community engagement tool with maps and tables for residents, community groups, and agencies to gather information about collisions, near-misses, hazards, and safe locations to travel on and around tribal lands. Learn more.

Technical Assistance Webinars

The webinars are on-demand, free and can be tailored for specific needs. These webinars will focus on gathering/utilizing road safety data on and around tribal areas for use in any or all of the following:

  • risk analysis,
  • planning,
  • grant preparation,
  • and project evaluation.
