SafeTREC's Vayalamkuzhi & alum Itani honored at ITS Awards Ceremony

On Friday, May 6, 2022 the UC Berkeley Institute for Transportation Studies (ITS) held an award ceremony to honor the recipients of the 2021 ITS Awards, which included faculty, staff, graduate students, alumni and more for their distinguished service, research, and contributions.

The SafeTREC Excellence Award was presented to Postdoctoral Researcher Praveen Vayalamkuzhi by the Institute of Transportation Studies in recognition of his outstanding contributions in support of the Institute’s mission and his outstanding implementable safety research contributions in California.

The ITS Outstanding Graduate Student Award was presented to PhD Candidate and 2017 SafeTREC CSCRS Road Safety Fellow Ibrahim Itani to recognize outstanding contributions in support of the Institute’s mission and in recognition of his research, dedication as a GSI, and his unflagging support of fellow students.
