ABSTRACT
The seminar will begin with a brief overview of the Chinese road safety situation, including current safety problems, and then move on to discuss safety research including driver behavior, freeway operational safety, and infrastructure development. 

SPEAKER BIO
Junhua Wang Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the School of Transportation Engineering,Tongji University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include road safety, collision modeling, highway geometric design, and incident management. He leads one National Science Fund Project and one National "Twelfth Five-Year" Plan for Science and Technology Support Project. He also took part in two 863 National High-Tech Programs and two National "Eleventh Five-Year" Plan for Science & Technology Support Projects. He has published more than 20 papers. In addition, he received the 2011 Hei Bei Province Advanced Technology Award, the 2011 Chongqin Advanced Technology Award, and the 2012 Advanced Technology Award from the Ministry of Security.
