SafeTREC to be part of NCHRP Study to Develop Pedestrian and Bicycle SPF's

SafeTREC is excited to be a part of NCHRP 17-84 "Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Performance Functions for the Highway Safety Manual". The research team, led by Darren Torbic of MRI Global, includes members from academia and industry. This research will develop pedestrian and bicycle safety performance functions using risk-based or predictive methods. It is intended to be used by transportation practitioners at all levels to better inform planning, design, and operations decisions. The results of the research will also be used to update the Highway Safety Manual and associated tools.
