Community Pedestrian Safety Trainings: Annual Report 2015

November 30, 2015

The Community Pedestrian Safety Training (CPST) program is a partnership between UC Berkeley SafeTREC and California Walks. Since 2009, a total of 36 CPST workshops have been implemented in 35 communities. The CPST program engages community residents, local agencies and professionals by teaching pedestrian safety best practices and strategies and conducting hands-on walkability assessments. Each workshop concludes with participants identifying immediate action steps—specific to their community—which can be undertaken to improve pedestrian safety.
