Lilette Gorostieta is an undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying Economics and Urban Studies and a student assistant at SafeTREC, where she supports projects focused on transportation safety and equity, specifically the Community Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program. Lilette's passion for this work is deeply rooted in her experience growing up in Oakland, where she witnessed the everyday impacts of inequitable infrastructure—but also how strong, community-driven efforts can spark change. These experiences continue to inspire her commitment to building safer, equitable streets for everyone. Outside of work, Lilette enjoys taking walks with her dogs, hiking in the East Bay hills, and enjoying her mom’s homemade food!
