The Global Road Safety Training Program is involved in innovative research that addresses traffic safety issues around the globe. The Program offers a dynamic creative work environment, mentorship and academic guidance, and opportunities for peer collaboration with leading traffic safety researchers worldwide.
At a global scale, road crashes are projected to be the number 5 cause of death by 2030 because of the large number of vehicles being added to road environments where most people still walk, bike, or use two-wheel vehicles. The training program at SafeTREC will help fill the needs for professional training and expertise in developing countries to meet this emerging epidemic.
