Aqshems Nichols

Bio/CV: 

Aqshems Nichols serves as a graduate student researcher at the UC-Berkeley Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC). He has currently been given the opportunity to assist with SafeTREC's road safety tribal projects. Aqshems has also been gracefully given the opportunity to work on a media relations project as part of a grant funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety.

Aqshems previously served as a survey researcher with UC-Berkeley's Transportation Sustainability Research Center (TSRC). He has currently been given the opportunity to be a PhD student at UC-Berkeley's transportation engineering program and he is co-advised by Professor Susan Shaheen and Professor Joan Walker. His primary research interest is examining how the transportation system can be employed to help people compete in a global information age that is immensely hyper-competitive.
