The UC Berkeley Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) launched applications for our 2026 programs last month, which includes:

The California Safe System Institute for Road Safety program;

The Community Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program (CPBSP); and

The Complete Streets Safety Assessment (CSSA) programs.
SafeTREC Programs
Office hours provide a space to learn more about each program and identify which is the best fit for you.
The SafeTREC team is launching virtual office hours this year to better support those interested in applying to one or more of our programs. During the office hours, you will hear about each program, have time to ask the team questions, and receive support with identifying which program best fits your needs. The office hours will take place over Zoom during the application period. We will hold two office hours, offering one during lunch and the other after work to provide flexibility to attend for all applicants.
