October is National Pedestrian Safety Month! Get inspired to advance safer walking for all in your community and explore the final reports from our Community Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Program (CPBSP). This year, we partnered with 13 communities to help advance their pedestrian and bicycle safety goals.
Since 2009, the Program has conducted 155 pedestrian and bicycle safety trainings throughout California. Each training results in a final report that summarizes the outcomes of the workshop and provides recommendations on how to further their pedestrian and bicycle safety goals based on observed safety concerns, Safe System strategies, crash data analysis, and workshop participants’ action planning.
This year, the CPBSP team worked in the following communities:
-
Ashland/Cherryland
-
Blue Lake Rancheria
-
Boyle Heights
-
Corona
-
Cudahy
-
East Bakersfield
-
Groveland
-
Orange Cove/Parlier
-
Paramount
-
San Leandro
-
Tranquillity
-
Vernon
-
Yuba City
